This month I was able to write and translate my first message into Xhosa. I was able to preach it at our youth night on Fridays. Meagan is introducing and leading children classes before the teaching and is working on teaching classes soon. We are are going more and more vocabulary each week but we are still working on our pronunciation. We are slowly but surely learning more of the language. We are blessed to have a great helpful team of missionaries and a talented teacher.
We have visitors coming and going for the next 2 months here. We are happy to meet new pastors and youth groups. If you are interested in taking a trip to South Africa next summer you can contact us. I took a mission trip when I was 19 years old, and it changed the course of my life. I believe if more people saw just how great the need is for themselves, it would change their life too. If you have never made it to the mission field for a visit I want to strongly encourage you to do so. Lamentations 3:51 says, “mine eye affecteth my heart.”
We said goodbye to one of the interns at Camp Rhino. Jens Looney was helpful to the ministries here and our family will miss him as he moves into the next stage of his life. We look forward to receiving a new intern this month. We are thankful for programs that make missions a priority in young peoples lives.
